If you had all of the time, money, and talent in the world, what would you do in the following areas (listed with examples):

Education: I write and play music as a hobby and have a love of photography. Music isn't a great way to earn a living. Even very successful musicians have challenges around earnings. In many ways, data science is as much about the creative experience as it is about science. I would spend time pursuing art and indulging in my passions. Art is an ever-learning experience and a beautiful experience.

Job or Research: I graduated from nursing school in 1985. I was inspired to pursue healthcare after completing cancer treatment in 1984, and I've had a deep interest in computers since my first computer in 1979. My current job combines healthcare and data science and is really a dream job. In addition, I want to pursue research that explores ways to improve healthcare delivery. Finally, on retirement from healthcare, I would like to help prepare a new generation of students in healthcare computer science.

Philosophical or Religious:

Travel: My wife and I would like to explore the national parks. There are many beautiful places on this continent worth exploring and photographing. John Denver found inspiration in the Rockie Mountains and wrote beautiful expressions to describe that inspiration.

Home: My wife and I came from troubled homes as children and, in my wife's case, entered the United States as a refugee after they fled the Vietcong after her father fought against the communist regime. My wife and I raise our son in a stable home but modest home. Our son will never experience the childhood we experienced, and we are forever grateful for that experience in this land.

Summarize Ideas

I believe the most important trait humanity possesses is the ability to interpret and manipulate our surroundings. I have a need to express that through music and photography. Another critical and noble train of our species is the sharing of information to provide a better future. I find ways to include creativity in the work I do and the life I live, but sometimes I live vicariously through the deeds of others.
